Replacing Silicone

I picked up an older Neo 90 and in cleaning it I noticed the silicone on the inside of the tank looks "eaten away". The tank is still sealed at the joints but the "fill silicone" looks worn. I filled the tank and it did not leak. I was curious about replacing the fill silicone. Does the aqueon silicone work for resealing? How long should it cure? The tube says 48 hours? Any help you guys can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks

You really cant put silicon on top of silicone you won't get a true seal you will need to break the tank apart and reseal the panels

+1 reseal the whole thing for peace of mind. You can get away with just resealing one corner but why risk it. Aqueon Silicone...sounds expensive. I redid my 55G and used GE Silicone I and bought the whole 10oz tube for $6 I think
