I've just built my first ever 10 gallon refugium for my 55 gallon reef tank. Now I'm wondering about the lighting for it, it will run the opposite of the bigger tank. What kind of cheap {walmart} lighting will work for it?

you can get a spiral CFL bulb and shop light with a clip for around $10.00 at Home Depot. Just make sure the bulb is around the 5500k or 6500k range.

I used to use a small PC fixture from the LFS but the spiral bulb from Home Depot works as good and is much more cost effective especially since I change my bulb every 6 months

I use the Home Depot variety, too. Works very well and clamps on to the tank easily!

you can also use the Walmart Bulbs listed as "daylight" CF's. I think they have 2 packs of 26W (100Wequiv) for like 9 bucks and in Automotive you can find the clip on sockets and reflectors.
