refugium how big

Are you planning on setting up a sump? What are the dimensions of your stand? What other equipment will you be putting under the tank?

IMO you want as large of a refugium as possible, but you also have to navigate around other equipment...

I have a 90g and under it I have a 40g breeder that I use. I have to say the bigger you can go the better and Petco has the $1 a gallon tank sale right now till the 21st.

been there done that; rodifers, rodifer harvesting, hatch night....ugh....MAN I MISS IT, I'll have to find a mated pair one of these days

It all boils down to where you're placing it. Under your tank, you're limited to space. You will have other equipment to consider. If not, and its a remote refugium go with the biggest one you can plumb to the system. Mine is small in comparison to overall tank size, but it does the job.Caulerpa grows like crazy and has lots of pods.
