Reef to fowler

Just curious if anyone has went from reef to fowler tank. I want to but just cant do it. Hard to get rid off corals. I wanted to do a tank with some exotics that you just can not have in a reef tank. Has anyone ever made the move and regretted it afterwords.

I love fish and have always said it, but the beauty of a well stocked and maintained Reef tank can't be denied. I have had FOWLR and even tried to put some Angels in my Reef (did not work out long term). I think very large tanks might be the exeption here. If you want some exotic fish why not set up another system? If you get rid of your Corals and change your tank to fish only, I'd bet you would miss the beauty and diversity of your Reef !! Bottom line it can be done. Just get rid of your Corals and add the fish you want, but you will miss your corals.jm2c !!!
 
I cant set up another system, wife would put buckshot in my you know what.....lol. I have a 250 now. I have put alot of thought into it, and i guess i was fishing for advice, that i already knew. I love my tank, my wife jokes all the time that i love my tank more than her. I just cant tear out they beauty of my tank for a fowlr system.
