Hrmm.. looks interesting, but still no direct programming. Looks like they're trying to anticipate all the situations folks might use them for. (Not sure I agree with that approach.)

Scott do you know what is zigbee is? Seems to be there wireless standard for this controller.

Yeah it doesnt seem to be like the AC where we can directly can program timers and alarms...More like off and on and set times that is my impression. I wonder what this Programming Dongle is? The website or Rc doesnt go into detail on what it soes...I posted a question on RC for more explanation

The gadget side of me likes that you can change the colors of the led screen and the usb port on the controller

Zigbee is a personal area networking standard using RF in the 860mhz range. Kinda like bluetooth, but easier to configure.

The charm about the RK is its really simple to use. I don't know about this new one, but the older model was a snap to setup. If all you want to do is combine your plugs into one strip and have the controller run them, along with having temp/pH probes to monitor, its a nice little device.

I got one with my 90 and I do like it, for its limited use and ease of operation. I wouldn't have put it on the 140/45 system though.
