Reef Chili?

Has anyone tried Reef Chili, how does it rate, I cant seem to find any for sale at the moment, is there another brand like this that is good to feed your tank?

Might check bulk reef supply they usually carry it. I use rods food it feeds the fish and corals Neptune's cove carries it

I'll tag along as I want to know how good it is also.

I'm looking for some type of dry sps and lps food so I can automate it with a food dispenser.

I have used this on occasion.

Interesting thought Tito -- with Reef Chili you must really mix it well with water prior to using it (dont think you could just dump it into the tank). I generally use a baster to target feed with the chili.

Yes as Jim said you have to mix it very well in the water. I bought the little $2 bottle to spot feed. I have tried it and some corals didn't take to it very well. So i kinda stopped using it.

I used "it" for a while ............ "it" as I was given a sample of the original at a MACNA and it seemed ok for a dry food

However, it cost too much (my opinion) so I looked at the ingredient list, then ordered 2 oz bottles of everything in it from Brine Shrimp Direct.

I made a pound or so of "it" for about 1/2 the cost of a couple of ozs of the real stuff.

Fish seemed to not notice the difference, although I did keep most of it in the freezer and just kept the in use in the original container. Maybe they read the bottle and thought they were getting the real deal.

I got a few free bottles with orders from somewhere, I use it from time to time but would not fork up the money they want for it.

Cheers,

How much are they charging at Neptunes for Rods, Im seeing alot of mixed pricing for it online, just a quick search showed me 19.99 to as low as 9.99, 19.99 is a bit pricey also for 6oz's I thought, and does anyone else have any feedback on Rods?

you dont want to get the coral food rods food just get the regular version.

one package of rods food goes a long ways

I use a mix of coral frenzy and reef chili. The reef chili has mostly larger pieces and the coral frenzy is a FINE powder.
