Redecorating Crabs

So apparently my blue leg crabs like to redecorate when the lights go down. They seem to move and just get on top of coral frags and knock things over. I was kinda concerned at first, but they seem to be doing some good.

For instance, i got a very nice and large kenya tree from allen and michelle. Well I left it on the frag in my tank and after a week and a half, it seemed my crabs finally got to it and they knocked the entire frag off the LR onto the sand bed breaking off a piece of tree, well the piece that broke off had already attached itself to some of my LR, so I just repositioned the other piece.

Just thought I would share my fun with redecorating crabs :)

Several folks have a zero-crab policy for just that reason.

Personally, I like the crabs and just deal with the frustration of occasionally finding something that dislodged or turned over.

Yeah, I would probably agree with that policy. I bought a small Ricordia and placed in on a nice rock spot and with no surprise, it was gone by morning. I'm sure the crabs had something to do with it.
