Red Sea Prizm Protein Skimmer problem

Ok I am resetting up a tank for my daughter. I used this skimmer before on another tank and it worked fine. I bought the upgrade kit on this skimmer.

I bought the RS1231 upgrade.

I put in on my tank and it doesn't suck in any water. I put water in the middle compartment thinking it would start sucking in water then. Nothing. I let it run overnight to see if anything would change. This morning nothing is different. The pump is working and making bubbles. Could the pump be bad or is the connections to the new upgrade not fitting correctly. It seems tight though. The flow valve is fully open. The little tube coming out of the inlet pipe is connected to the collection cup. There are two places on the collection cup for the tube to be connected to. I placed it onthe most inner one. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Shane

Your link doesn't work, but I think I know which one you have. When you first turn the skimmer on put the tube on the outside port and it will create the suction. When the skimmer starts processing the water move the tube to the inside port. Then you can use the black twist knob to control the flow. :D

Let us know if that helps....
