Recommendation of second fish to add to tank

I have a 55gal up n running since 10/19/2010 im running a fowlr and i got my first fishy in there a diamond goby on 12/09/2010...my paramaters are perfect and been doing weekly water changes with no problem...goby is relaxed and eating just fine. so far so good...what else would you guys recommend? I'm still learning so I guess fish that would be easier to maintain would be better.

These are some of the fish I do know I like...not sure if I will end up with any of the ones below or not...probably the clown fish will be a for sure addition to the tank other than that i'm open to suggestions.

Yellow assesor // regal tang // clownfish // Pygmy hawkfish // // mccosker flasher wrasse

Please try to make this post more so about what I should consider looking at instead of what I should'nt get...thanks

I've tried to jump on a couple good fish deals here that members were having like a mated clown pair for $30 but im always too slow!

Also the tank is a FOWLR now but I wouldnt be opposed in the future as i learn more to upgrade lighting and flow and add some easy to keep corals. The tank is RR

I have the Mckosker Wrasse and love it, he is always out and about and is colorful. Also have a candy hogfish which also is always out. My tank has been running about the same time as yours. Going to purchase a couple clowns in the next week.

Good luck

Yea Listen to Matt... If you add a more aggressive fish first and he gets comfortable thinking the tank is his then they will usually woop up on new fish.....

If you have several docile fish in the tank and then put an aggressive in it will be a little more intimidated knowing the place is not his.....

I think some good beginner fish would be something like a bi colored Dotty, they are pink and yellow, real colorful and not to expensive
Clowns, firefish, and Fox Face Rabbit Fish.....

One of my first fish was a foxface, Still got him after 3 years..... Take caution though as they are poisonous.... their dorsal fin is like hypodermic needles and they can inject venom... they are not deadly but I bet it hurts like crazy. Ive never had an issue with mine, very docile and just moves to the other side of the tank when you are working in it. Just a little scary tho when you are doing rock work or something and don't see him anywhere,,,,

My favorite fish is my dwarf angel. He is always out and about picking on rocks and swimming like crazy. Clowns are also always out but they just pick their corner and stay there most of the day.

how did you acclamate the mckosker wrasse? i heard drip method is the only way. said:
I had a McCosker's (well, 3 females & a male) in 2003 and I didn't drip acclimate them & they were fine. Great fish, but best if he has a couple females to show off for.
