Recommendation needed for External Skimmer....Euro Reef ?

I think it's time to upgrade...

I am currently running ASM G2 with mesh mod, recirc mod and gate valve mod. BUt I'd like to move the skimmer externally and utilize my full sump as a true refugium (safe haven for fish that have problem eating and etc).

Setup: 75 gallon tank with 95 gallon total volume. I would consider this to be on the heavy bio load.

From my research, I have been leaning to Euro Reef RC135.

My questions:

- How is placement on External skimmer ? higher than sump, on the floor ?

- How would you return water back to the sump with the gate valve mod ? back to Quest # 1, does the skimmer have to be placed higher than the sump ?

- I'd like to use gravity fed to feed the skimmer, how flow is required for the RC135 ?

- Any pics of setup in action ? any issue with leakage or possible leakage around the pipe joint ?

- Lastly, best place to purchase this ?

On recirculating skimmers ...placement height does not mater as you use a supply pump to fill the skimmer

I have mine set up so the elbo is hanging over the sump but i have seen some people use flex hose to go back into the sump

I dont know but when i asked about my octopus skimmer they said you are not getting a constant flow can raise and lower the level inside your skimmer

some people glue their joints i just used teflon tape around my gate valve pipes.. no leaks around my pumps or elbows as long as the washers or o rings are in good shape
