RBTA

I have medium flow with 2 of 250w MH. My RBTA keep hiding in the rock. What are the causes? I have feeding them as told by previous owner. They opened and seem in good health but doesn't come out giving a clown a chance to host. :?:

Louie, is this the sherman rbta from the other day? It may take a while for the nem to find a spot he likes and settle down. I'd give it time. Just keep track of where it is, and make sure you've covered your powerhead intakes.

(Anemone sushi = bad)

I have a GBTA and he has never came out of the rocks! I have had him for 3 months! So I guess he likes to hide out!

I won one at the meeting and he loves his new home he is great and the clowns love him! They find him the next morning!

Good luck with yours!

Ricky

I got one GBTA for about 1 month. I placed it on top then it moved into the cave the next day.

I got one RBTA from here yesterday. It came with a rock and I place it lower near the sand bed with medium flow and light. It moves within 2 hrs inside the cave and haven't move since.

Just can't view their beauty made me wondering.

Mine are the same way, all three like to have there foots underneth something and then poke there heads out to collect food/light. I guess they do this so that in case there is any threat, they can retract and be hidden under something.

The BTA's will comeout once they do not get enough food/light in the caves.

You can point a small powerhead at them if you cannot move them and they will start moving again until they find another place they like. Just make sure theres NOT so much flow as to tear its flesh.
