So we brought her home on Tuesday. She was already attached to a rock so I just placed her on top of another HUGE rock that I was HOPING she would attach to. She seemed pretty happy Tuesday night. She moved about two inches and wedged herself between the rock she came on and the rock I put her on. Wednesday when I got up, she was triple the size. Stretched out all the way across the rock, she looked beautiful, I fed all the coral and everything looked VERY happy. My clowns were being nosey but not bothering her. Around 2:30 my son got home from school and snapped a picture of her, still all stretched out loving life. Then..... the turbo snail.... ugh... The snail made it all the way up the rock and starting inching closer to her. The closer the snail got, the more curled up Rose became. My son must have sent me 10 pictures documenting every inch. Rose eventually ended up on the under side of said rock. :-( Never lost her grip, she just kept inching away from the snail. She is still there this morning.
My question is... she is HUGE... is she strong enough to pull herself back up to the top when she is ready? She really looks stuck! LOL

Yep, my son just got home from school and said she was almost entirely back on top of the rock, all but the foot, but that she was all spread out again. Whew! :)

He sent me three from his phone, so not the best quailty. For some reason it won't let me load the third one which shows her more extended by at least a few inches. (he likes to send step by step photos) Gotta love him. :) When I get home tonight and she is still there (fingers crossed) I'll take some more.

Just a gut feeling... LOL
But, I'm really beginning to think she doesn't like me, just got home and she is on the side again.

That makes sense...it was my wifes favorite

They do move around until they find their happy place. Hopefully she'll settle in somewhere safe.

I would recommend longer, unless you have some previous experience in the hobby. It would be best if you have at least one year first, honing your husbandry skills in reef keeping.

Man, that's a long time. What makes them so difficult to keep?"]
It's all about consistency and new tanks/new aquarist are often not consistent. Nems (and most everything else in the tank) like things exactly the same all the time. They're very boring that way.
