RAPID LED KIT

Ok folks, I just got half of my LED's up and running and I have the meanwell driver set at 750mA, with a 5v wallwart going to the POT. Out of curiosity does the size of the wall wart (up to 10v) determine how bright the LED's will get? Also can the Cree (12) leds take more than 750mA to get brighter? Just curious as im looking to maximize my light output for my 26 gal bowfront. This is still someone new to me. Thanks again everyone.

Which LEDs did you get? Most of the LEDs currently offered at rapid led are good up to 1000ma. Also, pretty sure the instructions on their site state pretty clearly you need a 10v power supply for the dimmer.

The instruction are clear that you can use up to a 10v not that its necessary at least that's what my research has shown. I'm still waiting to hear from mike at rapid led.

Check the RapidLED site for the exact LED that you purchased. The max mA for each LED is listed under the detailed description of each LED.

Ok, I do know that I have xp-e and xp-g leds. I'll look into it. Does anyone have any thoughts on the dimmer psu?

Ok, I got a reply from Mike with RapidLED.com, he advised me that the xp-e (RB) can be run up to 1000mA and the xp-g (whites) can be run up to 1500mA. Also, he confirmed what my thoughts were on my wall wart issue in that a 5v wall wart will only allow me to run the LED's up to 50% brightness and not more than. This was interesting news because I think at 50% running 750mA current these badboys are pretty dang bright. Pictures to come.
