Quieter pumps - My wife dont like the noise

[I am wondering what kinda pumps out their people use for their returns. The one I have is noisy and would like to get a quieter one. I have a 65g tanks with about a 20g sump and my return is about 54” with 5 elbows. Both submersible and outa water would be ok. Any suggestions on a better pump?]
 
[What are you using currently? Is it a vibration noise? You might try putting some filter floss (Eheim makes a foam pad) under your pump to dull the sounds.

I used Mag pumps for years without noise.]
 
[I also use mags and put some spare mouse pads under the pumps to help with the vibration noise. I feel they are fairly quiet.]
 
[check to see if you have PVC up against something like sump sidewalls or stand,, sounds like its just not secured well.... But I use Magdrive pump as well.. very quiet]
 
[I have a Velocity T3 that I can't even tell is on while it's running. It adds a bit of heat to the water, but it is seriously silent. I have to touch it to make sure it's running. You'd probably want a step up to a T4 for your return tho if you were to get one.]

[Corallife Velocity pumps are almost totally silent. They are no longer made and may be hard to locate, and they do tend to heat the water a little more then other pumps.]
