Quick Where to Buy Plumbing Question

I set up a RR 65g I've had sitting in my shed for months. Well low and behold I go to put the return in and find it does not match the tank -the pvc and fitting on end slipped right through the drilled hole. So my question is where do you find the part that screws into the end of the pvc to which you fasten the nut on the other side of the tank? Does Home Depot have them?

Best place i've found is Elliot's Hardware. Not sure if there is one close to you. I've had trouble finding some stuff at home depot. Lowes was actually better for plumbing.

It sounds like you are lacking the nut that screws onto the bulkhead. If that is the case, and LFS should have that on hand. You may have to buy the entire bulkhead. If that is the case, I'd install the brand new one anyway.

Hi Carolyn,

Bill had some bulkhead's at Neptune's Cove, you can give him a call. I also have seen some in the used section at DNA. A tractor Supply would have bulkhead's also if one is closer to you.

Cheers,

Nope I have the nut -it's the pvc and threaded end that the nut screws onto that I'm missing - I'll try tractor supply first as I do have one close.

Thanks all -I got the tank setup without it just put external filtration on and filled the tank with water just up to overflow...talk about throwing a wrench into a setup! As if moving and combining setups is not stressful enough...
