Quick question on Clown eggs

My mated pair of clowns laid eggs... 3rd times a charm... and didn't eat them this time. The male has been caring for them. Overnight the eggs went from orange to black. Are they getting ready to hatch?

Thanks.

Might want to look into "larval snaggers" -- in Wilkerson's book and online.

Or you can simply scoop them out with a white cup (easier to see them if you use a while scoop).

I don't like the clear bowl cause the fry attempt to swim to the light through the glass bowl - doesn't work well. They aren't all on the surface, and some will never surface.

your best bet would probably be sitting by the tank after lights out with a flash light at the surface, and the scoop up the fry one by one (or a few at a time)

dont' use a turkey baster it'll hurt them
