I have a 4 x 39w JBJ T5 fixture but I am wondering whether that is the best thing for a 58g, 36" x 18". I don't have canopies yet ordered but am certainly thinking that I should get them ordered. I guess I don't know whether to add metal halide to the T5's or not. I have some acropora, monti caps, pocillopora. I need to know what bulbs to get.
Also I think I will be asking someone to make me a sump so I need to know what kind and size of pump. Didn't one of the speakers at NextWave say that he cut his return and skimming down and runs on a timer? I don't know how he sized the pump though.
I am hoping that one Koralia 3 will be enough for flow.
And I don't understand about the new guidelines for live rock amount. I would like to minimize the live rock if possible but do not want to have to depend on power filters or such.
Is there a contact for DAS equipment through Pet-O-Rama or anyone else? I never did get a working email for them.
