Question about my false perc

I had a pair of clowns for over a year now, one false and one true. They seemed to mate up, the false became a female becoming larger than the true perc. They got along fine and never left each others side. A while back we lost the true perc to ick, but the false was fine. Well my question is that over the last couple of weeks my false perc has started turning almost black, making me think maybe she is not a false at all. The black is spreading out from the top down, not filling in between lines. I have had her for well over a year though, so it seems strange to me that she is just now starting to turn. Any ideas?

Do you have many zoa's in your display? I have a false perc who's color has darkened to black. It's very striking.

Yah, George, I was going to mention the same.. one of the little percs in Lisa's nano is getting spotted from hosting on the rics / zoos / palythoa.

That is funny that you mention it. She was hosting in some zoas for about a week, before she deciced to venture further and found the anenomes, now she is hosting only in it. Why would that cause a color change?

Not completely understood, but it seems to be a reaction to the toxin in zoos / palythoa.

Freaked me and Lisa out until we saw references to it on wetwebmedia.
