Pvc gate valve ? - Where to find ?

[Does anyone know where I can pick up a 1.25" PVC gate valve locally ? Typical hardware stores, HD and Lowe's do not carry gate valves.....

I hate to pay $7 shipping for a $13-14 PVC part......

[Elliot's Hardware carries gate valves. There use to be one in Grapevine but they lost thier lease when the land owner sold out from under them. That leaves the one in Plano and the one in Dallas. Here is a link to their web site.

[Mr C. True Value hardware on Pipeline might have them. Also Green Mama's on Davis may, they do lots of pond stuff.]
 
[Just an FYI...it was an internal decision with Elliott's to close the Grapevine store because it wasn't profitable....not an issue with leases or landlords.]
 
[I purchased a 1" gate valve at Elliot's in Dallas a fewweeks back. They have a great selection and I would expect you'll probably walk out of the store with two or three new projects in mind.

They have odd hours so you may want to check on that before heading over there.

Something like closing at 6 on weekdays, 5 on Saturday and Sunday they are closed entirely.

If you are heading to the next meeting let me know and I could pick one up for you in advance and swing it by the meeting....I average at least one trip there a week.]
