Purple Coraline

I have a lot of coraline all over my rocks, and I just noticed it is starting to plate out away from the rock like an SPS. Forming 1/2 circles.

Is this a different kind of coraline, or is it just a characteristic of normal purple coraline?

i think it's called plating coraline and can grow some pretty neat looking shapes. Serk gave away some about a year ago that looked realy nice.

That is exactly what grew on a bunch of my Zoas, choking them off. Soem ahs now started on an isolated rock that has GSP on it. It grows very quickly, I just measured some lastnight and a plate has grown almost 3/8" in diameter in a week from nothing.
