Purchasing Live Rock - Where?

What's your recommendation for where to purchase live rock?

I'd prefer to pick out the pieces as opposed to ordering online and being shipped whatever adds up to 45lbs. Where's the better live rock around here?

I'm in NRH.
 
I got alot of my rock from my lfs, aquatic paradise, they still have some good pieces but let a batch on rock come in that has some type of mejano on it i think. Maybe a good time to hit them for a cheaper price if you dont mind dealin with that.
 
I have 150 pounds of rock for sale that you can pick through in Plano. $3.50 per pound.

Or aquatic design sells it for 5.99 per pound.
 
i have bought from 3 places, all have had nice rock and ive been happy with it. bought rock for my 210 from tranqual scapes, bought a few small peices for my 90 from fish2morow, and my original rock for my 55 was from franks tanks. i havnt been to any of the stores except f2m lately and i know they have some large trophs of live rock to choose from.
 
I think you could probably go with some lesser pieces for your base then make a facade of nice show quality from local stores or people on the board. that will give you lower cost overall and selection of what you'd like to see in your tank. Seems as last year and during the summer there was a big push for Tufa rock for base rock. at $0.15/ lb it made it a very nice method of filling for volume. If you have the time to allow it to cure, this method could work well for you. Currently, I'm running about 30% of my live rock as Tufa rock. It cuts easily, is incredibly porous and light. IMO it makes the best rock for a biological filter.
 
Thanks for everyone's responses. I bought 53lbs of Fiji live rock from F2M today. It is circulating in a tub of saltwater with a heater... and I'm making 44g of saltwater now. I should have the tank up and running in the next 48 hours.
