My protein skimmer (Reef Devil Deluxe) was doing great and I was in love with it! However, when I woke up this morning it stopped foaming. There are bubbles in the bottom of the reaction chamber and the collection cup was half full with a really, really light brownish-green liquid. The day before this liquid was dark and gunky. Anyone have an idea why this happened? Once it got broken in I did my little tweaks here and there, but once I got it set I never touched it and it was working perfectly until this morning. Why would my skimmer stop foaming overnight? I've had my skimmer for three months and I clean the entire skimmer once a month.
