Protein skimmer - Doesnt look difficult

[IMO the easiest DIY skimmer would include a sedra 3500 or 5000 with needle wheel. All you have to do is build the tube and drop 100$ on the pump and you have a awesome euroreef clone.]
 
[built mine about 3 month ago, never have seen the skimate this pulls out. By far the best skimmer I have ever had. (I have had lots). If anyone wats pics just let me know. It cost about 10.00 to build and a friend gave me a mag 7 to drive it. The original design off RC called for a mag 5, I think a 7 works much better.]
 
[120 dual rr with 55g refugium. dual 250watt 20k xm'xs/ PC 110 day lights. Octopus 3000 controller (still fine tuning). DIY skimmer, 150+ figi lr, 4-5" sand bed seeded from some killer sand I had in my 75g. I also have a auto topff with kalk reactor/liter meter for top off, and ozone. Circulation consists of custom close loop and a sea swirl returning from an Ehiem filter.

For live stock I have a lot of fish, 3 tangs (blue, yellow, purple), 6 line, Hawk, 2 clowns, a couple of yellow wras, 80 crabs or so, and a lot of mixes for snails. Have a ton of ricordia, striped, and fuzzy shrooms. A huge amount of Metalic green polyps. Zoo's and a little of this and that.

I would say my bioload was quite a bit.
