Problems priming a Eheim 1048 on a Biodenitrator

I have an Eheim 1048 on my new Korralin Biodenitrator and it is having a problem priming. I know it states that the 1048 is not self priming....so then how do you get it to prime and pull water out of your sump and back into the sump if it won't self prime? I must be missing something. Any help. Just an fyi the Korralin Biodenitrator is sold as not needing a feed pump....maybe it does?

haha.....answered my own question. I was looking at the wrong diagram. It does need a small pump if not below and fed by main tank. Thank goodness for having an extra aqua lifter lying around.
