Yay! the long waited occasion! I got some Banggais from reefhotspot.com and they've gotten really big since last month. one of them is finally "pregnant"! You can see the huge jaw of one of them.

expecting babies March 22 ish.. *cross my fingers* hope they will be safe :)

And lemme be the first to say - DIBS on some of 'em once they're big enough! :wink:
 
Do you have a long-spine urchin that the babies could hang out in? I've been wanting to explore that symbiotic relationship for a long time.
 
Ashlar - no sorry *_* don't want them to eat my coraline algae, and I don't know what to feed the urchins! We make fake urchins out of sticks and epoxi or cheato. :) I've seen them in real urchin before, they kinda just hang out, the same way they hang in the fake urchins

Billy - yes they're mouth brooders. The daddy would hold the eggs for a month, so no eating for him :( Sometimes they do get hungry enough to swallow the eggs, but I've been lucky enough to not have that happen to me.
 
Alright, Scott. You blew it for Valentine Day. Suspect you now know what to get Lisa for her BD or your anniversary. Wish it were that easy around here !!!!
