I have a 90G long 72x18x16 and I was using a voyager4 powerhead 1650PGH but it was pushing the sand around all the way to the other end :) and on the opposite end I tried both a Koralia2 and ended up with a Koralia nano/425GPH I ended up using a nano on both ends as I thought there was to much water movement since the tank is shallow and the sand was getting pushed around. I was thinking of getting 2 vortech mp10wep's to create wave and to adjust exact water movement?

any ideas?

Oh and return pump is a catalina 3000 (1000gph)

mp10 may be to small for that size tank...also if glass is 1/2' or thicker you will need to go mp40 or 60

I have an MP10 and a koralia evolution 1400 and my tank is only 32x24x15. My sand doesnt fly around. The koralias are pretty good for the price. My koralia is actually stronger than the MP10.

I really doubt a mp10 will make a wave on a tank that long. I would go tunze wave box

OK so the wave box sits in the middle backwall and it will send alternating waves both ways or bounce off the front glass and spread that way? I could not tell my the picture?

I am not happy with the Koralia's as I have a Hydro that the magnet split on the shaft and froze up. The nano's are ok but I still do see a few dead spots (figured I would need atleast 1 more nano) where my food settles and I do have 1/2" glass also in the back I have an additional 1/8 blue plexiglass for background. The overflow box is also 1/2"+ so its hard to get the magnet to stick.

LOL, I tried powerheads pointing down (that was wrong move looked like the sand was in a tornado) then straight out end to end and lastly one pointing back to the return line and the other bouncing off the front glass.
