Powerhead placement

What's the best spot to keep 2 Maxijet 1200s in a 48" long 55 gallon tank? I've hear right across from each other pointing at each other. I've also heard one on top and the other in the middle at opposite sides. What do you guys think is best?

You can place them one on each end of the tank facing each other as you suggest. The flow will depend on the rocks and corals in your tank so you will have to adjust the direction of each to get the best result. You also may want to consider adding a third one to take car of any dead spots.

They also have a new model which has increased flow. New Model I have one and it really works great on our 75 gal tank.
