POWERHEAD PLACEMENT

I have a 175 gallon bowfront aquarium and I need advice on where to place powerheads. Currently, I am running Koralia 4 (1200gph - not on wavemaker) which is positioned at the back-center of the tank facing straight out - no tilt. I just ordered to more powerheads rated at 1600gph a piece and these will be on wavemakers. Can anyone tell me where I should place these new powerheads? Thanks.

If u have mh its always good to face on up to move the water on the top and it will also give a good shimmer...As for the others Its good to have one facing down along the bottom not blowing sand everywhere but just so the sand moves a tiny bit to keep the dead spots clear of waste.... but al in all you have to work will all to get it just right takes alil time but if u find a happy place try yo keep it their^^ hope this helps a lil [smilie=wink.gif]

With Koralia's I have found it better to bounce it off the glass and I read somewhere that it is recommended that you do that.

It is also going to depend on how you want your flow. Pushing towards each other on a wave maker would make a good current for your corals depending on what you are keeping in the tank.
