Power tools and acrylic

1) Is it worth spending the $$$$ for acrylic bits and blades? (table saw and router) or can you get the same results from a 0 offset 120 tooth blade and regular router bit?

Do you use water when making the cuts and routes?

I would say you don't even need 120 tooth blade. I use a 10 in 80 tooth blade to rough cut then I use a 1/2 in spiral bit for cleaning up my edges. The 1/2 spiral bit is a little hard to come by but you can use a regular laminate trimming bit readily available at the hardware store.

You do not need to use water when cutting or routing.

I'll echo Chris' statement on the sprial bit. Ive used both spirals and laminate and found the sprial to be much better for cutting/trimming. I only use a laminate bit for flush trimming.

Spiral bits can be found online for reasonable prices.

I should add a mention on the spiral bits. There are 3 kinds: up, down and up/down. The up/down will work in almost every situation but if you want seperate bits for when the router is in a table vs freehand you need to choose the correct version.
