8th pick in the raffle last night netted me a Powder Blue tang (many thanks to Tri) .
His water was a little cloudy so I rushed home pretty quick to start the acclimation. After floating for 20 min. to match temp. I opened the bag and checked salinity. 1.025 which is what I keep my tank at. pH was a little low. He looked bright and alert in the bag.
I started him on a 4 per second drip. When the bag water doubled I drained it back down and increased the drip rate a little. I continued that until about 1:00am when I put him in the tank. He found him a spot for the night right away.
This morning before work I looked in on him with the red flashlight and he was looking fine. Came in for lunch to check on him and he is acting like he's been in the tank for a while. Very pretty fish. Bright colors, alert. Now if he'll just eat it'll all be good.
