pop eye help

i got a blue cromase from eman . he knew it wasent healthy . and said if i can bring him back i can have him . so help save this little fish . ok first i have him in QT he is in a 1 gal jug in my sump with a bubbler . i have dosed 4 ml of stress cote . his cote is just about gone and 1 eye is poping out more than the other one and he is easy to catch. i know its not good but what more can i do to help him ?
 
my hippo tang got popeye and after much reading on it, I found most of the time its just due to injury or air under the eye. I didnt do anything other than the normal vitamins in the food stuff and it went away after about 4 days. But the tissue around the eye was streched a little and it took anouther 2 days to recede. She is fine now and I am thinking anything else might just add to the stress of the fish. But i have used melafix in my food before which should help and if you dont treat the tank but just the food the extra foaming from the skimmer is minimal.
 
For pop-eye: Epsom salt at 1 tbls per five gallons and repeat with a half dose on day three will help with the swelling. Keep a watch on him and if his eye begins to cloud -he is getting a bacterial infection, you will need to treat with antibiotics at that point. I have treat cloudy eye with MelaFix with success, but you can't skim while treating.
 
RIP to late he only lasted 6 hours . just gave the roilflush and a straght salute. o well i was trying :cry:
