Polyfilter turning pink??

I set up this QT tank to hold my Yasha and Clown goby for awhile to observe them. I decided to go ahead and pull them out. So now they're acclimating to the tank they'll be going in. But I've noticed the polyfilter in the QT tank is pink. I read the package and it says blue for copper, red with iron, green with ommonia.

Anyone know what pink is?

Maybe a slight trace of iron?????? pink is on the way to red right.  I'm guessing of course.

The packaging should have it listed. I checked about 10 sites for you, but none have it listed online. However, I do know it is printed on the package itself.

Thanks Marc... I do still have the package and I found the company website listing the color codes from the package plus other colors, but no "pink". And yes it could be the pink is on its way to red. But I use the same RO and salt for all my tanks (obviously) and the other 4 tanks I'm using polyfilters in are all the typical tan to brown color. I don't know if Prime Reef Flakes uses a dye of some sort but since the tank is a plastic critter container (-5g) maybe it absorbed the dye easier. The only other thing I can think of is maybe there's something in the Whisper in-tank filter that's leaching something. I had a 50W preset Walmart heater, a thermometer, SeaChem ammonia alert, 2 small live rocks, that's it.

Well the tank is empty now. I'll clean everything out with mild bleach water, let it dry and set it up again with a new polyfilter and see if I can try and get the same result with the same set up, one item at a time and see if I can narrow it down. I especially want to be sure it's not the Whisper filter.

i was gonna ask do you soak the food or add any meds to the tanks
i have seen some odd colors when adding additives to the tank

The food was different types... sometimes Cyclopeeze, rotifers, reef prime flakes. No meds as it was for observation.

just a guess but some of the frozen clclopeeze has a more pink tint to it
like i said just a guess
