Plumbing - Post your pics

So I am moving to a Reef Ready Tank :D But I need some ideas for the plumbing underneath. I am building a sump with the following layout: skimmer -->Return <-- Refugium.

So if you got some time, please post pics of your plumbing underneath your tanks so I can hopefully avoid any mistakes when designing the plumbing.

I have pics in my build thread, based on a design in the first page of psteeleb's build thread. I would start there for plumbing ideas.

This is the plumbing before adding water for my 144g. it has been up and running for 6+ months now and I haven't run into any problems yet. The only thing not pictured is the last part of the drain pipes to dampen the noise.

davej,

calcium reactor is on one and another feeds two inline phosban reactors. i still have one available to use if the need comes up.

Nice. Very very clean Tamu!

Anybody know what bushings are used for? said:
to reduce pipe size

a bushing will fit in a larger fitting but will have an opening for a smaller pipe size

for example if you had a 1 1/2 inch tee and wanted to go with 1/2" pipe you could insert a 11/2" X 1/2" bushing (they come threaded or socket)

I just used latex plumbing tape on the threaded joints. Tape it until you can barely see the thread anymore. Pete's advice saved me from dealing with leaking threaded joints entirely.

If you glue the bulkheads, you're going to be sorry when they leak. Mine did. Both sides. I had to replace one return and one drain bulkhead out of the lot because the seals did not hold.

My bulkheads that came with my Oceanic appear to have teh barbed ends on them for flexible tubing, but I want to install some PVC to them with a union. What should I do?
