Please identify me.

Are they limpets? Can you see a snail like "foot" through the glass? I have them and they reproduce quite often...I'm always knocking them off the glass with the magnet.

I have those two - hitchhikers from some new rock. The limpets I'd had in the past were different but maybe that's what they are.

That's kinda what I thought. I was just worried that they were flatworms. I've only seen aefw in person so I was unsure.

Those look like nerite snail egg's to me. http://www.google.com/search?q=nerite+snail+eggs&hl=en&rlz=1V3IPYX_enUS461&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=bYPdTomwHKj3sQKqut3XBg&ved=0CDUQsAQ

Cheers,

i have limpets in my sump that look similar, as best i can tell from the photo. flatworms are practically two dimensional, very true to their name flat worm.

Wow. Didnt see all the replies. Thanks everybody. Ron, that looks like it. I just got home and there are more on my shelf rock. I just added about 30 nerites last week. My water went cloudy a day or two after and took 2 days to clear. Do you think these eggs had anything to do with that?

Very small. My nassaurius snails spawned but the eggs were always picked clean before they could hatch. Then, you have to hope the offspring dont get smushed during a glass cleaning or picket up as food from the tank mates. I used to not clean my glass to save my strombus grazer offspring, but I more or less just plow through them anymore.

Hmmm. what are the odds they will hatch? Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk said:
I actually had very good luck with these hatching out......had tiny baby snails all over the place. I never had luck with the cerith egg's hatching, which are the squiggly line type that are left on the glass. I didn't have any wrasses so the chances are probably higher without one of those in the tank.

I just removed my melanarus cause he was terrorizing my snails. So no wrasse just tangs and anthias. thank Ron and everyone for the help. Gotta love DFWMAS.

Yes, definitely Nerite eggs I have a bunch too and it seems like they just get in the mood one day and spread their love around. LoL

Really? I've never heard of nerite eggs successfully hatching in a regular aquarium. Always heard they required brackish water/tidal conditions.
