Plastic tank tools

Where can I get a really long pair of plastic tongs for the tank?

What else do you use to minimize the number of times you have to stick your hands in the tank?

I just got this a few weeks ago. No metal - all plastic. Easy to use.

Full length gloves, never tried them myself.

I keep my hands out of the tank unless needed.

I use the large metal forceps you can get under the frag equipment sections at liveaquaria.com or marinedepot. They have several different lengths and they're all stainless steel. I've really enjoyed having them.

I appreciate the replies.

Turns out my new true perc doesn't like it when I put my hands in "her" 180 gallon tank that cost me a fortune to setup and run. I get nipped everytime I do unless I chase her around first, and she's always "rearranging" some coral or another.

I swear I had to double check and see if she's maroon with a gold stripe.

For $10.00 the marinedepot tongs look perfect.

Don't quote me on this, but these might have a metal wire that is used to close the grip on them (can you check Mark?).
I know some of them do, so be careful!

I've used the second, clear pair of gloves, they always get water in them and I ende up tossing them out sooner then I thought.
The purple and red pair are a bit thick, but they work for me (just rinse them real well before use)!

I just double checked. The shaft and hand attachment are 100% plastic. It also comes with a stainless steel scissor attachment, more for freshwater planted tanks. The scissors would probably break trying to cut through some of my SPS colonies.

100% Plastic. Cutters are useless in a reef tank. I have been using mine for over a year in my 30" tank.
Godsend they are, since I can't reach the bottom of my tank without them.
