Plant in the water

I have two trash cans, ~25 gallons of top off water and ~30 gallons of mixed salt water. I was watering my plants this afternoon and one of them fell. I got a pretty good amount of potting soil in both buckets of water. Would you use it or toss it? I have not added anything to the soil besides water in over a year. Thanks.

I would err on the side of caution and just toss it out. Why take chances? Potting soil is usually rich in phosphate and nitrate to give the plants nutrients, and these are the things we work hard to keep out of our tanks.
