I just purchased a Tiger Pistol Shrimp and not long after being in the the tank (not even 5 minutes) he immediately starts digging and uncovers some centipede like worm that I later ID'ed as Bristol Worms. Well the pistol disappeared in the rear of the tank and next thing I hear is him popping off his claw. I see two worms make they way back into the sand. I am wondering do Pistol Shrimp eat Bristols and are the Bristol a concen in my tank?

I have a Pistol shrimp and worms in my tank. Not sure if they eat them or not but I have had my pistol over a year now and no problems out of them. Just watch out for your snails as they will decrease over time.

Okay then i have a story for all of you.....
My gurlfriend has a Seahorse tank and we discovered in her tank a 6 inch long Bristle worm...Nasty as ....Well you get the idea.
Anyway. We moved and we dried out the live rock thinking that it would kill them....Naaaa didnt... She put her arrow crab and live stock for safe keeping in my tank and all was good...My cleaner shrimp loved him so they cleaned him and still do...Anyway...Couldnt figure out why my new friend was getting so big...He Molted about a week ago and holy crap.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His leg span was 6 inches across...Well found out what he was eating two days ago...Bristle worms...This nasty worm was thick and about three inches in length. He was eating him alive! No duh since he cant cook him....lol, But i was very surprised. I thought my tank was clear of these nasty worms but apparently not. Now the saga continues cause now Big blue...( I call him this because of his blue claws), gets hand fed cause i dont want him going after my Midas Blenny or Chromis or his new best friends the cleaner shrimp....I imagine he will be crawling out after awhile and asking me why i dont have wheat bread......Lord what is growing in my tank!

I don't know about pistol shrimp but I know that Arrow Crabs do eat them. My cleaner shrimp also like to eat them. I've watched them take them and roll them into balls and pick them apart.

Hmmm well i know cleaner shrimp were on my tenants list. So maybe i will pick them up a wee bit earlier and let them have at it!
