pinpoint vs milwaukee pH readings

I have both a pinpoint (monitor) and milwaukee (controller) digital pH reader. On my tank one reads 7.9 and the other 7.7 (yes low, I am on it right now to up it), respectively.

Which is generally the more truthful unit? I calibrated both just prior to these readings.

My KH was extremely low at 5.5 dKH when these readings were taken. So, I am thinking the 7.7 as the correct reading...

any advice?

and fyi, the milwaukee will be used as a effluent pH tester out of my calcium reactor. need it set at 6.2, but fear that this may be leading to an actual setting of 6.0 if the .2 is off on the milwaukee. safe bet to just set it at 6.3-6.4 instead? Schuran media recommend lower.

FWOW I have a milwaukee for reactor and ACJRw/ probe for tank and use the miwaukee when calibrating them. They are within the same specs for mine and using the milwakee my arm media is set at 6.5. It is working perfect so I tend to go with that one.
