[Hey guys, I have a 30gallon cube, I would like to keep atleast 3fish. Well 2more fish, right now i have a very..very small picaso trigger, maybe around 1.5 or 2inch. I am having trouble finding a fish, that can get along with this guy? What fish would you guys recommend? And can i keep shrooms, xenia, zoos, polyps in with him? thanx..]

[Yes you can keep mushrooms, xenia, and leathers with your trigger. In a 30 gallon tank I would only add on other fish if you just had to. It could be a damsel (not all are ugly), or a hawk fish, or even a big potters angel or coral beauty angel.]

[i think damsels are out of the question, sinc ei had one in there and he became trigger dinner..lol..do you think he will leave the hawk fish alone? what about a a valatine or hawaiin blue spotted puffer or a bluespotted goby? or a small lionfish?...or is the 30gallon too small for lionfish?..i only want to keep 2more fish in there.]

[IMHO the 30 is too small for your trigger. I would ditch him and get 3 small community fish. What kind of damsel did you have? I was referring to the really mean jewel damsel or the Fiji devil damsel. If your thinking of a hawk I would go with a Falco or Arc Eye. They are quite agressive when they have to be. The lion is just a bad idea all the way around IMO.]

[I would not advise adding any inverts, shrooms or otherwise with a picaso trigger. The tank in the long run is probably a little small for him...I think your going to have a hard time adding any fish to a tank that size with a trigger already in it.
Not what you were hoping to hear I'm sure, a hawk fish like bulldogger said may be your best bet, a spotted hawk is a cool fish thats not to expensive, and should be able to hold its own.]

[yeah...if he gets too big.. i will have to give him away....but man..he is one kool looking fish..i might just keep him in there by himself or get a spotted hawk also...and just thave xenia in there, since they pretty cheap too....thanx..guys..]

[To my knowledge, picassos are very aggressive and eat coral and inverts. Not a reef safe fish but I agree with them looking very cool. Ive always wanted one but found out he wasnt really compatitble with that many other fish.]

[hey guys, i really want another fish in here with the trigger, is it possible to put a fiji or hawain blue spotted puffer? thanx...]

[i would say NO and would recomend getting rid of the trigger because its only a 30 gallon tank. Or be planning on moving him VERY soon]

[Hi
My vote an eel or a dwarf lion fish. But then I have a dragon gobby, scooter blennie, yellow tang, potters angel, and a pair of clarkies in my tank with my wife's picaso trigger, but I have a hard time keeping any snails in that tank. Luckely I grow my own
