For the Uprights

2 11" long pieces of PVC
2 Tees

4 6" pieces of PVC
4 Caps (drill 1/4" hole in cap)

You can find the recipe on Marc's website, google, or even on Franks bottles. It's very easy.

Nice station Frank. Have you used it to grow out other foods for the tank, rotifiers, etc?

I prefer the Aquatic Eco hatchery for Brine Shrimp

http://www.aquaticeco.com/subcategories/1384/Brine-Shrimp-Hatcher-Small/hatchery/0

and the 5 G bucket (batch method) for Rotifers

http://www.reed-mariculture.com/rotifer/small.asp

Both can be done in this type station, I just find the other methods are easier and I am incredibly lazy so easy is best.

Starter cultures can be aquired from another member, you can also use DTs, or get cultures from FAF (https://3kserver7.com/~frank/secure/agora.cgi) although I don't really care for the petri dish culture they send - a liquid culture is way better and for some algae types is the ONLY way to get started.

FAF also has a decent book on culturing phyto (check with our librarian, perhaps the club has one (or should acquire one) and they have f/2 food for the phyto (although Autumn's rant on "don't use Miracle Gro because it has copper in it" rings a little hollow when you check the ingredients list on their f/2 and it contains (surprise, surprise) copper).

This site has a decent discussion of growing phyto as well.

I bought this off this site so credit goes to whoever it was who built it first.

With the group purchase of materials, the PVC and rigid tubing was just under $10 per person.
