What brand reactor is the best to get? I am going to be purchasing soon, but want to get a good one. Also, what kind of pump do any of you recommend?

My tank is a 120 reef, about 150 gallons including refugium.

Thanks

I have only seen 2 kinds...Two Little Fishies (sp?) and Kent. They are about the same. The two little fishies one is what I have with a microjet pump.

Aqua C recently came out with a much larger reactor compared to the more common Two Little Fishies brand. I haven't heard much feedback on this reactor yet. Anyone in the club currently running the Aqua C reactor?

I use the Two little fishies version.. I have two of them in chain together, the first runs carbon 24/7 the other has the Phosban media in it hooked up a minijet so the flow is small and reduced going into the Phosban to keep it from grinding down. They are not the most sturdy, but they also don't take any abuse since they are pretty much set and forget until time to change media.

I saw Frank struggling with a new type. I don't know if it was Kent or Aqua C. The Phosban Reactors are just so easy to use, easy to clean and I would stick with that. Last time we ordered from Marine Depot (tiny GB), it was even on sale!

I am also thinking of getting one...how often do you have to change out the media and what is the best media to use?

I change the carbon once a month and the phosban media about the same or a little sooner.
