ph Drop overnight

How much drop should I expect to occur? I just installed a ReefKeeper II and came out this AM to find the ph down to 7.95. Wasn't expecting a drop like that so I added some kh and the ph was at 8.22 at lunch. :)
 
If your Ph is 7.95 at night for the low what is the high during the daytime (that would be just after the lights go off)? Also what are you doing to replace the calcium and maintain Alk? Are you using a Two Part, Kalk drip, or calcium reactor?

My Ph ranges from 8.20 during the day to 8.0 early mornings when it is at the lowest point. I have a Ca reactor and Kalk drip.
 
The ph was 8.25 last night just after lights out. I do not have anything set up for dosing yet. I have been testing kh and calcium about twice a week and adding kalk if needed. I have been dosing once a week with Purple-up, Kent Essential Elem and Red Sea plus3 and both parameters have been above recommended levels for corals/clams. I was planning on getting a Kent dosing set up in the near future if my levels would not stay in the good.
 
I would suggest that you start with a two part Ca & Alk and/or a Kalk drip to make things easier. Is the Kent dosing set that you mentioned going to be used for Kalk? If so you should be set but keep test until you are sure that you are adding the correct amounts. What size tank do you have and what type of corals are you keeping along with the clams?
