PFO Ballast

I was looking at getting a really good deal on a PFO 250 watt MH ballast from an LFS, but it's just the ballast, not the mogul or cords or anything. Do I have to use PFO moguls and such with this or will any brand of MH mogul work?

I'm not real savvy with the electrical side of things, so forgive me if this question seems elementary. With the legal issues PFO is facing, I just want to be sure I won't get stuck with a ballast I can't use.
 
does it have a "plug" or wires coming off...if plug then you need a pfo plug slash cord to go to your reflector.

you can wire the ballast to any type socket double ended or single ended.

any socket will work just make sure the bulbs manufacturer will work with the pfo ballast
