PC lights enough?

I was just wodering if anyone has used PC lighting for growing out sps frags? I am thinking about converting part of my sump into an sps grow out tank. I did not want to use halides because of the heat that would be added under the tank.
 
The only thing I would even attempt are some montiporas and maybe pocillopora.

And I would have the lights right next to the water and the frags less than 6" under the water!

You might want to consider T5s or VHOs as these are a little better PAR wise. I have seen some pretty good frag tanks with VHO and T5 but never with PCs
 
Not that I have seen. I have talked to Nathan and Dana Riddle about it quite a bit and they have tested but of course didn't document. They haven't done T5s but PC's in general were less than 1/2 the intensity of VHOs
