I have an old, I think 1st model TS skimmer it is black with the wing nuts that you have to take off completely to clean. I was wondering if these are ozone safe. I think I read somewhere that the acrylic has to be a certain type or it will break down.
I just asked this question of the maker of the Triggersys skimmers a few weeks ago and he said they are ozone safe. He did say however, that the o-rings will break down and he can get replacement ozone-resistant o-rings to you if you're interested in them.
The bigger question is if the earlier models were made with ozone safe acrylic to begin with. Send him an email - he's very good about replying: customerservice@triggersys.com
