On the N. Dallas tank tour, we eyed a Sherman RBTA for the first time and fell in love with them. Had to have one!

I am happy to report that we are the proud ownwers of our first Sherman, finally! :)

Thanks feasible! It was great seeing you again and please tell your wife that we will take very good care of it! :)

Our No-stripe clowns haven't found it yet but boy will they have lots of acreage to explore...when they do!

Sweeeeeeet! Dang those things are gorgeous...

Hey Feasible, keep me in mind when ya' get another split please, I think a green and a red in my anemone tank would be quite nice! :)

We actually had a good day for prettying up the main.
Miss Water bug went on a spree and moved lots of stuff over to decorate the seahorse tank and the left the old main a little bare.

We did have a problem with rics in the main either driven by the 10K change on the bulbs or the alk problems bought on by Kent Salt I am not sure wich.
So the move saved some things from that.

At any rate thanks to Miss Kat we added some rics back to the main, along with some nice tiger eye zoos. She also sold us some of those wonderful nasarius snails (spelling) Thanks Kat !!!!!

We also bought back a copper band butterfly from Exotic Aquatics so it was a nice day indeed for the main tank. We are doing a major tank clean and water change tomorrow so we will take some pics of the new critters

I am going to try and find some MarineMix Pro and go back to the 12Ks on the reeflux bulbs so hopefully that will address the issues.

hello Jr....How are ya?...sniff

Just wanted to let you know Pappa sherman RBTA misses ya.

It looks like you found a great home....be good and have lots of babies...sniff Your brothers and sisters say hi...

lol, we asked someone in New Orleans if they had "sherman" bta's
they thought we were nuts.

I just wonder how many of these things are out there

water`bug & TJay,
You are most welcome. It was a pleasure see you two again and getting to hang out and chat. Finally a picture that does these Shermans some justice, I may have to invite you two over for dinner one night with your camera to get some good shots of my reef  .

Also thanks for the frag; Bekah loves the color and can not wait to see if we get more teal highlights out of it.

Brian,
I will definately place you on the list for when it decides to split again. I just may have to feed it more to keep up with the demand

Cheers All

That _is_ lovely. That beautiful deep red / orange with black / dark brown undertones is something I haven't seen on another RBTA.

Mike dinner would be great and we love shooting pictures as is apparent by the way to many we post

You two are welcomed here anytime even if it is just a drop by and chat
we love heving people over so long as they can tolerate the little monster

Well, things are going well with the new RBTA and he seems as happy as can be! Consideringgggggggg as soon as the actinics popped on this morning, the BIG feller decided to "bust a move." lol

I don't have a problem with him moving as he is placed on an island and any part of the island he wants.. he can claim! Well wait... there is this one little itty bitty place that he can't have because there is already a BTA there. Right?

Wrong! lol

The pictures will show you his activities today. He seems happy and doesn't look like he's going anywhere... for now at least. :)

Any suggestions concerning the BTA that is now totally encroached by the big guy??

Do I need to be concerned at this point?

Thanks,

donna

The new one is stunning. I don't know what to say about the older one. Typically BTAs seem to do just fine next to one another. Keep watching for it to appear elsewhere.

You're exactly right, Marc! The BTA moved. Guess he didn't like being *under* the Rose! lol

Will be interesting to see where he *settles.*

I'll post a pic later

Dang this thing is a monster it just keeps getting bigger.
So of those who have these, how big can they get and not split?
who has the biggest non splitter out there?

The largest I have ever measured my original getting was 16" across with about 4-5" tentacles!

Mine was 12 to 13" wide and didn't split for 2 years.

So these things just tend to get big, the first one we saw was in testfields tank and they were smaller but bulbed up so pretty.
Ours does not bulb at all but it still looks amazing.
