Open Brains

I got a couple of open brains earlier this week. They have not shown their tentacles yet. I have them on some live rock, but have read a couple of things on the net saying they should be placed on sand. What do you guys think?

Has shots of some on sand, others on rock. All open. Mine didn't do much until I moved it the sand in one of the higher flow areas. Now it is too crowded between the rock and the glass. If it ain't one thing it's another.

We have our brain on the sand where it gets a lite amount of flow. The only time i see the tentacles is at night when the lights are off.

I looked at my tank before coming to work this morning. One looked awesome. He was really swollen up.
