One year ago I set-up my first reef with the help of Robert and Hellen of Fish2Morow. I had so much to learn and many of you have helped me with your advise along the way too - Green Hair Algae and Cyano outbreaks and such.

This is how things looked last June...

The best advise I received was to be patient - and you were so right. This hobby has been so much fun - I can't wait to see what another year brings! Thanks again fellow aquarists....Candace

Looks very nice. Keep up the good work.

You have made really good progress and have a great looking tank. Keep up the good work and thinks for sharing.

Thanks all for the kind words. And yes - I have a pom pom factory going on. I have a bunch I can share - let me now how many you'd like! Candace

Yet another DFWMAS success story :) You should be proud of your work and commended for sticking with it through the difficulties.

Hi DaveJ

Thanks so much for the compliment - I couldn't have done it without your help! I refer to the reef calculator you shared with me all the time so I can make adjustments to my mag and alk as needed. The calcium went back to normal just like you said it would. Thanks for walking me through it! Candace

You are very welcome and thank you as well. :)

Wow, great work :) Only one small flood in a year? That beats me by 2 or 3 (I had more issues with making RO/DI than I'd like to talk about).

Hi Charlie,

I don't count the 2 or 3 floods that I've had making RO/DI water because they were in the garage and didn't ruin anything! Just when you think everything is set up just right and foolproof - the water always seems to find a way! Keep cool and stay dry...Candace

Happy Aquarium Birthday! The first year is always such a milestone. Congratulations, it looks very nice.
