Oh, no not another ICH question! Really need some advice...

Let me first say, I think I have read about all my brain can hold on ICH. Let me also say that as "still a newbie" I do not have a QT set up and she was not QT'd. I am a little concerned with Elsie my cowfish. She has some white spots on her, some look a little cottony and some don't. They are mainly on her fins, but a few on her body. However, today there are 2 on her eye. I can't seem to definitely say it is ICH. A lot of what I have read on ICH says there are white patches of grain size spots. She doesn't have any patches of white spots, just individual spots. I have had her about 2 weeks.
Does anyone know or have some good pictures of what I should be looking for for exact identity? She is a little more fragile than most fish and I'm not sure she would survive being hypo'd. Which brings me to another question...if the QT tank is bare bottom, why is hypo necessary for treating ICH? Could the fish just be QT'd for 8 weeks? I also read the 3 day swap...which I think I might like best. My problem is that I have 21 fish in my 150. I don't know how in the world I could QT that many fish for 8 weeks.
I am trying to make a decision far enough in advance to avoid any castrophies. Should I try to find all of them homes with someone who can QT them and leave my tank fishless for 2-3 months?
Regarding the other fish...I have not seen any spots on them...yet. But I don't want to wait too long either.
I have been trying to get some pictures, but the spots are not showing up. I'm going to keep trying though. In the meantime, if anyone who knows ICH firsthand is in the Denton area and could make a stop by to look at her, I would be forever grateful.

Thanks,
Kim

Thanks for the link George. It does resemble the Lymphocyctis, but I don't want to rule out ICH either. I'll do some more reading on Lymphocyctis.

I may take you up on that. Is it big enough for 21 fish?

i think it is a 25 gallon stock tank. might be able to fit some in there not all.....

My nephew has a non RR 46 gallon bowfront that I can use, so if I decide I need to QT all of them for 8 weeks, I will definitely need to use 3 things. I have a little 5 gallon for Elsie the cowfish. I want to keep her by herself just in case she doesn't make it. I could divide the others into the 46 and the 25.
I'm worried about them making it for 8 weeks in QT :?

Is your fish still eating? If it is you might try kick ich, its reef safe and could treat your entire tank. Mixed reviews on the product, but I wouldn't qt and stress it out more if its still eating. You might try a cleaner shrimp as well to clean parasites off the fish.

Err.. kick ich is snake oil, as is garlic, cleaner shrimp, cleaner gobies, raising the temperature, fw dips, formalin, etc.

If it is ich, there are a few known treatments- hypo, copper, 3 day transfer.

She is eating very good as are all the fish. I do have 2 cleaner shrimp, but have read the same...3 methods to get rid of ICH. The 2 white spots that were on her eye yesterday were gone last night. I'm still reasearching Lymphocyctis...
