I was browsing the Zeovit.com site earlier and ran across an oddly shaped tank. It got me to thinking, "what is the oddiest shaped tank someone has seen?"

Here is my submission for the oddiest tank shape.

Wow, that is so cool. I will have to take out a mortgage to afford something like that . I wonder about how strong the tank is.

I like it too. Where can I put one.... hmmm.

Since the concensus is this is a plywood tank, you can think outside the glass box for a second. Like the bubble boy on Seinfeld, you can have a pair of latex or rubber gloves molded onto the bottom right side of the tank in the door area. If you needed to reach something on the bottom, you just stick your arm in the gloves and pick it up and place it up on the top ledge. Then get on a stool and reach into the tank and get it. Of course the gloves would be in the tank at all times, so when you took your hands out of them you would pull them inside out into the stand compartment. Just a crazy thought. :)

They would have to be super well sealed. Can you imagine the water pressure trying to find a way out via those rubber gloves?

heehee - serve the bugger right!

I was thinking you could have LR (and corals) on the top shelf, and leave the deep part as is, and just let the fish swim. It would look like those under-water movies, when they are filming along the reef wall, and all the fish swimming alongside.

Neat idea, but the lighting would be a problem - either burn what's on the shelf, or the bottom of the deep side is dark?

You could definitely aquascape it and put a very low light inside the cabinet that shines into that lower zone. A piece of glass or acrylic could be inside the cabinet to shine the light through.

I have a feeling not many fish would hang out in that lower section, as it is rather confined. However, I really do like the unique shape and would love to see more pictures of it set up and in action.
